Shows antibacterial activity. Supports the health of the upper respiratory tract. The ancient Greeks called this plant “thymos”, which means “courage” or “strength”. Since Antiquity, thyme has been used in the Mediterranean area as a condiment, and in the early Middle Ages Benedictine monks brought it to Central Europe and England, where it began its vocation as a medicinal plant. “This plant is a pleasant diffusive aromatic, a stimulant and relaxant, with a mild carminative and emmenagogue effect. It can be used in colds, amenorrhoea and painful menstruation, colic, and flatulence.” W. Cook, The Physiomedical Dispensatory, 1869. Product type: Food supplement
