The Campanello story
Campanello is a family business, 100% Romanian-owned, grown around a simple idea: good things don't have to be complicated, or overpriced.
We're a small shop.And we like it that way.
A small shop
Because in a small shop you know what's on your shelves. You can choose more carefully, swap a product when it no longer convinces you and, above all, get to know the people who come through the door.
All sorts of people come to Campanello.
The 30-year recipe
In comes the grandmother, looking for the ingredients for a recipe she has been making for 30 years.
For the whole family
In comes the person who cooks for the whole family and knows exactly how much they need.
Last night's recipe
And in comes the young one who saw a recipe on TikTok last night, with saffron, sumac or a spice they couldn't even pronounce yesterday.
This is where we love the idea of buying loose the most. You don't have to buy a whole jar just to find out whether that recipe really deserves its two million views.
You take just what you need.
Maybe 50 grams. Maybe 500. Maybe just enough to try something new without adding one more half-open bag to a drawer.

We mean the bulk pantry — spices, grains, nuts, dried fruit. The herbal and natural-care products come packaged, as they should.
Quality shows better up close
We don't want to carry the largest number of products.
We would rather know what we sell.
We look for a fair balance between quality and price, and we don't believe a good product has to come in a luxury box or at an absurd price.
Not the cheapest at any cost. Not expensive just for the label's sake. Somewhere in the middle is where we like to work.
A good product. The right amount. An honest price.
If Campanello were a person...
It would be the kind of merchant you'd want in your neighbourhood.
It would respect the old recipes, but be the first to see what people are cooking on the internet. It would know what grandma bought for her cozonac and, at the same time, hunt down the spice that turned up yesterday in a viral recipe.
It wouldn't try to sell you something just because it could. And it would probably tell you honestly when something isn't worth the money.

We don't want to sell just anything. We want it to be worth it.
For us, a customer who comes back is worth more than a poor product sold once at a big margin.
