Notes from the manuscripts of pharmacist Farago concerning this tea: “Chamomilla cleans the ulcerous wound. Flores Chamomilla contains essential oil with sedative effects. This oil is also a disinfectant. Calendula has a spasmolytic and haemostatic action. Mentha piperita is a powerful disinfectant in the intestines and a pleasant odorant. Mentha piperita and Calendula help the body in the process of healing of the ulcer. Achillea millefolium regulates the circulation of the blood as a whole and especially around the ulcer, being at the same time haemostatic. Foeniculum vulgare calms spasms, Melissa officinalis stops any vomiting, calms pains and spasms. Herba Taraxacum: through gastric spasms the functioning of the liver becomes sluggish; in cases of gastric illness, a cholagogue is welcome. The importance of Taraxacum in this tea is its stomachic property. Polygonium stops inflammations and is astringent on the mucous membranes.
