Notes from the manuscripts of pharmacist Farago concerning this tea: “In the composition of this tea, account was taken of the content of soluble silicon in Polygonum, since it is known that silicon is antiphlogistic, haemostatic and has a beneficial effect in bronchial asthma and hoarseness. The Plantago component contains mucilage, which settles on the mucous membranes of the trachea and inhibits the stimulus to cough. The Lamium album component likewise has the healing effect on pulmonary lesions. Semen Foeniculum contains essential oil (Oleum Foeniculi), and this essential oil contains 50-60% Anethole; it has an expectorant effect. The seeds of Foeniculi have carminative effects, and the essential oil is a solvent for phlegm and has calming effects on the respiratory organs, as well as against spasms. We recommend the tea against pulmonary diseases: bronchitis, asthma, respiratory catarrh, laryngitis, cough.” Product type: Food supplement
